About

Being German by nationality and having been living in Egypt for about twenty years by now makes me naturally concerned, with ‘what is happening’ in Egypt.

Most of what can be read about Egypt after the revolution set-off publicly in January 25th 2011 is very opinionated, rich with ‘facts&figures’ and mostly very partisan.  After June 30th 2013 the Media coverage of Egypt became repulsively one-sided or, to phrase it neutral: inaccurate.

My reflections are not committed to subtle change in numbers and/or parties, definitely biased, but hopefully to the extent that it leaves the reader of my ‘random perceptions’ with the impression that what I state is based on facts and mainly on my own experience/observation, free of commonplace and filled with the desire to contribute a round picture on Egypt’s atmospheric current with the views of an affected bystander.
